About Prof. Lian Gao is group
Our research interest focuses on the development of composite nanostructures/thin films for energy storage, photocatalytic and catalytic applications. These materials integrate high surface area, semiconductivity, photocatalytic properties and can have a variety of possible applications.
Nanocomposite structures for applications in solar production of fuels, Li-ion batteries, and supercapacitors:
1)Design and synthesis of environmentally friendly materials for solar electrochemical production of fuels.
2)Nanocomposite alloys/metals/oxides, Meso(nano)porous materials with high thermostability for applications in high temperature catalysis.
3)Composite of functional nanoparticles with graphene and nanotubes for applications in energy storage devices.
Functional multi-layer thin films for photoelectrocatalysis and gas sensors:
Synthesis of multi-layer thin films with layer structure engineering and surface modifications using electrochemical, physical coating, and atomic layer deposition methods for applications in photoelectrocatalysis and gas sensors.
